Miss Monroe County's Sparkle Program

The Miss Monroe County Sparkles Program is an inclusive, confidence-building experience designed for girls ages 8 and up with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Created to celebrate each participant exactly as she is, Sparkles provides a supportive and uplifting environment where every girl is encouraged to build confidence, form meaningful connections, and enjoy her own special moment in the spotlight.

To participate, the following is required:

• A parent or guardian must complete a simple application 
• A brief note from a qualified professional (such as a healthcare provider, therapist, or educator) confirming: 
  • The participant has an intellectual and/or developmental disability 
  • Participation in a structured, group-based program would be a positive fit 
• The verification note may be uploaded with the application or submitted shortly after 

The Sparkles program will take place the night of the Miss Monroe County's Teen Pageant, Wednesday, August 12th, after the intermission!

Each Sparkle will be welcomed into the Miss Monroe County family and celebrated for who she is—creating memories, building confidence, and being part of something truly special.
