Miss Monroe County Sparkles Program

 Sparkles is more than just a program—it’s an experience rooted in confidence, connection, and joy.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Build confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment 
• Connect with peers, mentors, and role models within the Miss Monroe County organization 
• Take part in fun, engaging activities designed to highlight their strengths 
• Be celebrated on stage as part of the Miss Monroe County experience 

Every aspect of Sparkles is created with intention—to ensure each participant feels empowered, included, and proud of who she is.

 At its core, Sparkles exists to ensure that every girl has a place within the Miss Monroe County community. We believe that confidence looks different for everyone—and every version of it deserves to be recognized and celebrated.

 The Sparkles Program is open to girls ages 8 and up who have an intellectual and/or developmental disability and would benefit from a structured, supportive, and confidence-focused environment.

Our team works closely with families to ensure each participant has the support she needs to have a positive and meaningful experience.

The safety, comfort, and success of every participant is our top priority.

We take a thoughtful and individualized approach by:

• Encouraging open communication with parents and caregivers 
• Gathering information to better understand each participant’s needs 
• Creating a welcoming, structured environment where every girl can thrive

 This inaugural program is about more than participation—it’s about belonging.

From the moment they join, each Sparkle becomes part of the Miss Monroe County family, where she is celebrated, supported, and given the opportunity to shine.
